Ok, I know what you're all thinking: obsessive Fiona Apple fan. But let me tell you, my friend, there is MUCH to be obsessed about. Like, her age: how can this girl, who is only four years older than me, write such beautiful lyrics while I can't even pass English (Even though I love the subject to death; all the metaphors and deep meanings~OOHH!!~Shivers down my spine!)I JUST saw her IN CONCERT (!) on the 8th of November at the Orpheum in Boston and all I have to say is: THAT GIRL KICKS ASS!!! The concert was sooo great(!), except for: 1.)The fact that the guy that was sitting in front of me had this shirt ont that said:"BODY BAT-Exotice Body Piercing (use your imagination)", and totally freaked me out! 2.)The same guy had this NAIL coming out of his CHIN(Ouch!) 3.)When I had to use the pay phone and was making my way down to the lobby this guy, who was trying to look cool by smoking a cigarette (smoking is not cool. Geez,he was literallly looking uncool by trying to look cool) nearly SINGED MY HAIR(!)-Luckily my friend pushed me out of the way just in time (Kate, bless you, my child.) 4.)EVERYBODY WAS SMOKING!!! I had to disinfect my hair with double strength shampoo! I swear, my parents thought I smoked at the concert, cause I reaked!!! 5.)Laika, who opened for Fiona, SUCKED!! Who do they think they are, opening for THE Fiona Apple? But let me tell you, when Fiona gets on stage, she just makes the concert totally worthwhile. I would go to that concert, smoking wierdos and bad opening acts in all, just to hear Fiona's music live again. If your town is having a Fiona Apple concert, GO TO IT!!! If not, DRIVE, FLY, SWIM to a town that's having a Fiona Apple concert! | |||||||||||||||||
